Using beekeepers' real world experience to solve beekeepers' real world problemsBe Included, Be Involved, Bee Informed
Category Archives: HoneyBeeNet
HoneyBeeNet provides a central location for the collection and sharing of nectar flow records by volunteers and provides comparisons with satellite data. This is done to better understand how climate and land use/land cover changes affect the nectar flows. HoneyBeeNet began at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center led by Wayne Esaias. The project is currently being migrated to the Bee Informed Partnership.
Hive scale data collected by participating beekeepers, satellite imagery of hive scale sites, and instructions on how to participate in collecting hive scale data is available at honeybeenet.gsfc.nasa.gov
