Recently, we announced our BEE TOGETHER campaign focused on securing $1M by June 2024 to grow our work. 

Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing stories from the field, the lives of beekeepers and the bees they care for so you - our friends - can engage more with our work. So let’s start from the top, shall we, with the Queen Bee herself.

Once they have mated, queen bees stay inside the hive to lay eggs to create worker bees.  A strong, healthy queen bee is essential to maintaining a healthy colony. Queen bee breeding is an endeavor in and of itself, and BIP works with several queen breeders to test for hygienic behavior to help them select quality bees for breeding.

Support for these queen breeders through our projects and programs is vital to provide them the real-time science and data they need to feed their livelihood and passion as beekeepers. Please donate to our Bee Together campaign today to make that happen.
