Dear Beekeeper,
We greatly appreciate your request for a member of the Bee Informed Partnership team to present to your organization. As our partnership raises awareness, we have been inundated with requests to speak to organizations and groups across the country. Due to the overwhelming number of requests we receive it is important that we are selective in the amount of time we take away from our daily research tasks to prepare and present at events.
In an ideal setting we would be able to take the time to honor every speaking request we receive, and as enjoyable as that would be, unfortunately, we are unable to make this possible at the present time. Generally, we are more apt to speak with groups who can provide reimbursement for travel and speaking time as well as lodging accommodations and per diem rates for meals and other expenses so that the cost and time of travel won’t impact our research funding. Some larger groups who are able to meet these stipulations prefer to have the designated speaker present more than once over the course of the time spent with the organization. We find this to be reasonable as we desire to make the most valuable use of our time and your resources.
If you would like to request a speaker for an event, we ask that you please fill out the form below and email it to support@beeinformed.org with the date(s), time location and speaking topic. We will do our best to meet speaking requests and look forward to hearing from you. If we cannot attend your meeting for a specific time, it may be due a busy schedule at that time of year or that none of our team members could squeeze the event into their calendar. If you have flexibility as to the speaking date, it would be greatly appreciated and please let us know if that is the case.
